Bio

Angelo Panno ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Psicologia Sociale presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma “Sapienza” nel 2013. È stato visiting in differenti università estere quali L’ “UvA” – University of Amsterdam, Columbia University in the City of New York e Radboud University of Nijmegen – Behavioural Science Institute.

Dal 2014 al 2019 è stato prima assegnista di ricerca e poi ricercatore presso l’Università “ Roma Tre”. Dal 2016 ha insegnato Psicologia Sociale e Psicologia del lavoro e delle organizzazioni presso diversi atenei italiani: LUMSA, Roma Tre, UER.

È stato membro dell’Editorial board della rivista Journal of Philosophy of Emotion ed è attualmente Associate Editor della rivista Frontiers–Environmental Psychology section.

Svolge attività di reviewer “ad hoc” per differenti riviste internazionali indicizzate tra cui JESP, PSPB, JBDM, JEvP.

È abilitato come professore di seconda fascia in entrambi i settori 11/E3 (Psicologia sociale, del lavoro e delle organizzazioni) e 11/E1 (Psicologia generale, psicobiologia e psicometria). Nel 2013 è stato insignito del premio per la miglior tesi di dottorato dall’AIP (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia), società scientifica di cui è membro ordinario nella sezione Psicologia Sociale.

È un membro associato dell’ “International Society for Research on Emotion – ISRE”. Dal 2012 ad oggi ha preso parte a differenti progetti di ricerca nazionali ed internazionali tra cui GLAMURS Supporting green lifestyle (FP/7), ECHOES “Energy CHOices supporting the Energy Union and the Set-Plan” (H2020), EUFORICC “Establishing Urban FOrest based solutions in Changing Cities” (PRIN), ecc.

È autore di numerose pubblicazioni a livello  internazionale e nazionale, in particolare ha pubblicato su riviste quali: Cognition and Emotion, JESP, E&B, EJSP, JBDM, J of Social Issues, Social Psych, Sex Roles, Env Research, PAID, PlosOne.

Interessi di ricerca

I suoi interessi di ricerca vertono sullo studio delle emozioni e loro regolazione nei processi decisionali ampiamente definiti attraverso i campi delle scienze decisionali e della psicologia ambientale. In particolare, ha avviato linee di ricerca volte ad investigare i processi decisionali in condizioni di rischio e la percezione del rischio legata ai cambiamenti climatici. Parallelamente ha condotto studi sul rapporto tra esposizione alla natura, benessere psicologico e comportamenti pro-ambientali.

Recentemente ha, inoltre, sviluppato lavori focalizzati allo studio dei processi migratori.
