UER supports the participation to two summer school programs in Vienna. They are organized by the OEAD Housing Office Vienna in cooperation with universities among which FHWien der WKW, one of UER best international partner.

You can apply for a scholarship covering 60-75% of the program fee.

Detailed information can be found attached and on the program websites. A brief description of the two programs follows.

Summer University Green. Building. Solutions

• Content: the academic program provides ecological knowledge and engineering expertise from six Austrian Universities and Institutes bundled in a three-week program in the capital of energy efficient building: Vienna. Think sustainable, take care of your future – now.
• Dates: July 21 – August 12, 2018
• Program Fee: regular price Euro 2.000; student scholarship program Euro 490. The fee includes course costs, accommodation, excursions, social activities. Personal and travel expenses as well as insurance are not covered.
• Suitable for students at the Master’s level. Knowledge of English language is required.
• Application Deadline for the scholarship program: April 22, 2018

Summer University Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems

• Content: This academic program links theoretical approaches to economic and monetary alternatives with subject-specific content from different scientific disciplines and work experience. Covered topics are:
  • The variety of alternative economic and monetary systems that are already in use worldwide.
  • Ecological sustainability, population growth and the long-term management of natural resources and energy.
  • Business ethics, consumerism, solidarity and the common good: the need for a new philosophy.
• Dates: July 25 – August 10, 2018
• Programm Fee: regular price Euro 1.390; student scholarship program fee Euro 490. The fee includes course costs, accommodation, excursions, social activities. Personal and travel expenses as well as insurance are not covered.
• Suitable for: students at the Bachelor’s level. Knowledge of English language is required.
• Application Deadline for the scholarship program: April 22, 2018
