Bio

First Researcher of ENEA "National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development" since 1993. He graduated from Università "La Sapienza" di Roma. As a lecturer he held the following university courses:

"Environmental Management Systems": at the Università degli Studi dell’Aquila (AQ), Faculty of Environmental and Territorial Engineering and Faculty of Management Engineering, Academic Years 2008 to 2012.

Economics of the Environment: at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia (VT), Faculty of
Environmental Sciences, Academic year 2001-2002.

Tourism Economics: at the Università degli Studi di Siena, course in Economics of the
Environment and Sustainable Tourism, Academic Year 2000-2001.

"Calidad Ambientale del Turismo", at the University of the Republic of Uruguay, Department of Economics, Facultad de ciencias sociales, Academic Year 2003.

Research interests

The main topics of applied research carried out at sustainable development body ENEA
concern: corporate environmental audit, sustainable economic development, environmental
and tourism economics; with particular reference to environmental management systems and the environmental management of accommodation facilities and tourist destinations. Over 200 articles, monographs (n.41) and scientific publications and numerous speeches at national and international conferences (n.55) evidences his research. He is a member of the International Organization for Standarization (ISO), in particular of the environmental commission of the Italian quality standard body UNI. He has been a member of the Agenda 21 Commission of the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea Protection, and has been technical-scientific responsible for "Pilot Projects" for the introduction of Environmental Management Systems in various production sectors, tourist services and the public administration.
