On Monday 14th of October, 2019 at 12.00 pm, will be held at the Alcide De Gasperi Foundation, in the Rome headquarters in Via del Governo Vecchio, 3, the Lunch Seminar  “RenAIssance? The Artificial Intelligence for a new Renaissance between development opportunities and need for protection”, in which will be presented the Master’s Degree on “Artificial Intelligence: law and ethics of emerging technologies”.

After greetings from the Rector of the European University of Rome, P. Pedro Barrajón LC, there will be keynote speeches by Giorgia Abeltino, Director Government Affairs & Public Policy South Europe di Google, who will talk about “Economics of Intelligence and Smart Regulation“, and Hong Xue, Professor of Law at Beijing Normal University as well as Director of Institute for Internet Policy & Law (IIPL) and Co-Director of UNCITRAL-BNU Joint Certificate Program on International E-Commerce, who will talk about “AI in international trade law“.

After the light lunch offered to participants, Prof. Emanuele Bilotti, Full Professor of Private Law and Coordinator of the Master’s degree in Law at the European University of Rome, will present the Master’s Degree on “Artificial Intelligence: law and ethics of emerging technologies”, realized in partnership with the International Third Pillar Foundation and De Gasperi Foundation.

Will follow the Round Table on theme “Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Internet of Things: Intelligenza Artificiale, Blockchain e Internet of Things: emerging technologies and challenges for law, ethics, economy and job”, moderated by Raffaele Barberio (Key4Biz), in which will speak, Laura Di Raimondo (General Director of Asstel), Paolo Cherubini (International Third Pillar Foundation),  Emanuela Girardi (Pop Ai  Association – MISE experts group), P. Alberto Carrara (European University of Rome) and Marco Scialdone (InnoLawLab European University of Rome). 

Will conclude the work facing the theme of “Artificial Intelligence: which policies for innovation, research and development”, Luca Carabetta, Vice-President of the Productive Activities Commission Chamber of Deputies – Artificial Intelligence Parliamentary Intergroup, and Anna Ascani., Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, University and Research.
