• Read the Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications, for higher education courses in italy for the academic year 2022-2023, established by the Italian Ministry of Education.
• After having successfully submitted your application to Università Europea di Roma, you can proceed to apply for the visa through the Universitaly portal (pre-enrolment application). Please follow this guide:

Please note that the visa application can take up to three months and needs to be done after completing the application to Università Europea di Roma, so we advise non-EU students to submit their application to Università Europea di Roma as soon as possible.

• UER will validate the pre-enrolment application and upload a Letter of Acceptance to the Universitaly portal. This document does not confer any right to obtain a visa. The decision on the issue of a visa for study purposes is the exclusive jurisdiction of the diplomatic/consular mission.
• The subsequent pre-enrolment phases will be completed by the student at the relevant diplomatic-consular missions. For further information in this regard, please contact your local diplomatic/consular mission.
• Please send your study visa to francesca.chiriani@unier.it up to 15 days before your arrival to UER.

Residency permit

Only for non-EU students staying in Italy 90 days or more.

• Read the Procedures for entry, residency and enrolment of international students and the respective recognition of qualifications, for higher education courses in italy for the academic year 2022-2023, established by the Italian Ministry of Education.
• Within eight working days of arrival in Italy on a type D “national” visa for study, the candidates must forward a request for a residency permit for study to the police headquarters in Rome.
• Pick up a Residency permit kit at any post office. Please visit the following website for all the information regarding the Residency permit kit.
• Complete the application following the instructions included in the kit, attach copies of the requested documents and pay the relative costs.
• The student will receive an invitation of summons which specifies the date when he must appear at the specific offices of the police headquarters, together with photographs, to undergo the photographic and fingerprinting procedures.
