Obiettivi formativi del corso

The course aims to develop skills in communication and promotion of cultural heritage by integrating ethical issues and methods of cultural heritage management, with specific reference to the socio-cultural contexts and new media technologies.


The course explores ethics and communication of cultural heritage, and considers the debates which surround key issues such as cultural identity, memory, inclusion, participation, all developed with reference to the professions of Tourism and Cultural heritage management. The course also provides theoretical and practical tools for communication and marketing of cultural heritage – such as those of storytelling, cross-media storytelling, virtual museum, digital tourism – matching new technologies and communicative styles, related to different kinds of audiences. Specific case studies will be considered about the artistic and archaeological heritage of Rome.
