EUROPEAN LEGAL STUDIES MAGAZINE

The “European civilization” magazine was meant to be interdisciplinary (attached below are the indexes of the four edited files). Consequently, it was taken over and renamed as “European Legal Studies”. In order to avoid scattering of knowledge, which can lead to the detriment of the scientific nature of the publication, the journal editorial now focuses only on legal sciences, although intends to be open to all contemporary societal problems in a broader perspective.

Particular attention is paid to civil law, history of law, criminal law and constitutional law (disciplines which belong to a reasonable number of scientific areas). These fields are approached from an international and, particularly, European perspective, in order to highlight patterns and common roots in laws, values and principles, intending this way to construct unitary lines of development. Giuseppe Valditara coordinates the directive committee, which also includes Alberto Gambino, Antonio Palma, Mauro Ronco and Filippo Vari, each consistently presiding over one of the four main areas mentioned above and ensuring, through the use of anonymous referee system, a strict control over the quality of each contribution. Remarkably prominent is the scientific committee, also composed of presidents of the Constitutional Court, together with leading figures of foreign academies. The editorial board follows a strict efficiency criteria. Below you will find attached the indices of the first two installments already published.
