Bio

Marco joined KPMG in 1992. He is partner responsible for central and southern Italy of BU Global Sustainability Service and for services to public enterprises and local government institutions (regions, provinces and municipalities). He has gained solid experience in the coordination and management of sustainability projects, auditing and accounting organisation of large public and private companies. He is registered in the Italian order of accountants and in the auditors register and he is authorised to audit local authorities. Among his main customers of ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance – there are: Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane group, Autostrade group, AdR group, Ansaldo STS, ENEL, Enel Green Power, Terna, Leonardo, FASI fund, Farmacap, Poste Italiane, Sogin, EUR. Among his main customers for accounting management, financial statement audit services, there are: Leonardo group, Anas, Global Energy Services Italia, Enel Servizi, Fintecna, Ferrovie dello Stato group, Pfizer group, BMW Roma, Bulgari group, Caltagirone group, Total – ERG.

He is author of articles and publications on corporate social responsibility and sustainability reporting: White Paper on Integrated Reporting, KPMG position paper “L’implementazione del report unico all’interno delle imprese”. He is the author of the fortnightly column “Affari buoni” published in “La Stampa” newspaper.

Marco is one of the main opinion leaders in Italy on CSR issues. Member of the BOD of “Anima per il sociale nei valori d’impresa”. President of the corporate social responsibility commission at the Italian accounting association Ordine Dottori Commercialisti ed Esperti Contabili.

Research interests

Sustainability as innovation in the field of business model management appropriate to stakeholders and institutions information requests. This is through the creation of shared value with the community and financial stakeholders among others thanks to the identification of fungible objectives.
